The EAL Pre-Conference is an opportunity for EAL teachers and other interested professionals to discuss issues relevant to the field of EAL teaching in an international school setting. The AGIS EAL Working Group has met several times since it was formed at the beginning of 2016 and it has proven to be a valuable professional network for all members. The 2019 EAL pre-conference will follow the agenda below. We rely on input from all participants to make the day a success, so please bring as many resources and ideas to share as you feel are relevant to the topics outlined.

Outcomes of Pre-Conference. Participants will: 1. discuss important professional issues facing EAL teachers at German International Schools 2. share their experience and increase their professional knowledge 3. feel more empowered to promote EAL strategies which lead to good teaching practice in their own schools 4. network with other EAL teachers for further professional dialogue in the future
I teach EAL, English Language B and TOK at Leipzig International School. I am the Subject Leader for Language B in the secondary school which encompasses EAL, GAL, French and Spanish.
